Overview:

This trek brings you to the Langtang Valley surrounded by Himalayan Peaks. Langtang Lirung-7240m and Ganesh Himal are the highest in the region. Trek to the sacred Lakes of Gosainkunda, climb the Gosainkunda pass into the Valley of Helambu. This circuit finishs in the Kathmandu valley a short distance from Kathmandu.

Commence with an overland journey to Dunche, the main trading post of the area. From here we spend four days hiking up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyangjin where we rest for a day for some exploration of the high mountains and glacial systems. Track back for three days before a journey to the Sacred lakes of Gossainkund a major pilgrimage sight for both Hindus and Buddhists. We cross the Laurebina pass (4600 mtrs) and drop into the lush Helambu region and different cultural experiences eventually finishing the trek an hours drive from Kathmandu. A very rewarding trek in a less frequented area.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Briefing and preparation of trek.
Day 02: Drive, Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (8 hours)
Day 03: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama hotel (2480 m.)
Day 04: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541 m.)
Day 05: Trek Langtang village to Kyangjin Gompa (3900 m.)
Day 06: Explore around Kyangjn Gompa
Day 07: Trek Kyangjin Gompa to Ghora Tabela (2950 m.)
Day 08: Trek Ghora Tabela to Thulo Syabru (2200 m.)
Day 09: Trek Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3580 m.)
Day 10: Trek Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4381 m.)
Day 11: Trek Cross over the Lauribina pass (4600 m.) descend to Thare Pati (3600 m.)
Day 12: Trek Thare Pati to Kutumsang
Day 13: Trek Kutumsang to Chisopani
Day 14: Drive Chisopani to Kathmandu
Day 15: Transfer to airport for final departure.
